We will be having a Rocks and Minerals Test on Thursday December 15.

Things you need to know for studying:

• Task Cards (multiple choice questions) will be given to study with
• labelling earth layers
• read the information sheets with the fill in the blanks 
• Fill in the Rock Cycle

Place Value Quiz

There will be a Place Value Quiz on Tuesday, November 15.
The quiz will consist of:

• standard form
• expanded form
• word form
• rounding numbers
• comparing and ordering numbers

Science Rocks and Minerals

There will be a quiz on the definitions that have been covered in class on November 8. This quiz will be a matching quiz with two written definitions. Students are expected to study all terms and be able to write out two definitions word for word.

**Hint: The two definitions are the two most important words on the list. 

Map and Capital City Test

A Social Studies Map and Capital City Test will take place on Sept. 29

This map test will consist of: 1) labeling the Canadian Map. Spelling will be taken into account. Please practice spelling these words with the correct capitalization.

Fraction Test

We will be wrapping up our Fractions concept. The test will be on June 7. Content that will be on the Fraction Test are the following:

• Naming/Labelling/Drawing Fractions
• Parts of a set
• Equivalent Fractions
• Ordering and Comparing Fractions

Division Test

On Monday May 2, we will be wrapping up our division unit. The test will consist of:

• 2 digit by 1 digit long division
• mental math 
• 2 word problems
• stating what is the divisor, dividend, quotient

A review for the quiz will be distributed sometime this week

Students will need to identify what a noun is and also what a verb is in sentences

Noun Quiz and Science Quiz

Science Sound definition Quiz will be held on January 18.
The quiz will be a matching quiz with 2 written definitions. Students are expected to study all terms and be able to write 2 of the most important definitions word for word.

Noun quiz will be on January 19.
The quiz will consist of common nouns, proper nouns, plural nouns and possessive nouns.
Students can take a few questions from each worksheet and work through them again to help study.

Multiplication Quizzes

We will be starting our new Math unit of Multiplication and Division. There will be weekly quizzes on times table. Each week has a designated times table to study for. Our first one will be on January 12. Please study!
