I spy with my little eyes... future engineers planning away for their learning fair project. We can't express how much excitement we have for each others projects. The kids are supportive of each others work and giving different suggestions. What a blast we had on day one!

Learning Fair: Design an Instrument Project
Design an
Instrument
Objective
Design an original instrument using
unconventional materials, something that you have not seen done before and can
make different sounds/notes. Your instrument must use at least one of these
methods: plucking, blowing or striking. Consider your materials based on
stability, strength, sound-proofing, insulation and reflectivity.
We will be doing most work at school. There will be a planning process and a writing process that will all be done at school (unless students are not using time well). The building process will have to be done at home due to time and building material reasons.
There will be a detailed schedule to follow in the next few days regarding what process will be done at school. It will be the students responsibility to have their designs mapped out in their minds for designated planning days. Please help create conversations at home regarding this activity as your child may need your helpful brain to support them.
A package of the assignment will be going out this week at school. Do not hesitate to email me should you have any questions regarding the assignment.
Learning Fair Date Changed
Please be advised that Learning Fair has been moved to April 22. More details to come regarding time.

As you may know, term 2 report cards went home already. Parent comment sheet is to be returned by April 7.
With an eco-friendly mindset, we would like all families to return their brown envelope back to school.
